From Duncanville, Texas, I played college basketball at Oklahoma State before finishing my career at UT Arlington, where I became the third all-time leading scorer. That earned me workouts with the Dallas Mavericks and Celtics, but I ultimately played professional basketball across Europe, Asia, and South America for seven years.

When COVID hit in 2020 and shut down the sports world, I poured that same discipline and drive into transportation. I started as a dispatcher, then launched Dowell5 Enterprise as a dispatch company that grew into a full motor carrier authority.
For four straight years I ran my own loads, held contracts with Penske, managed over 19 qualified CDL-A drivers, and learned every part of the business from the ground up. That real-world experience led me to an opportunity inside one of the three largest freight brokerages in the country, where I spent two years learning how brokers quote lanes, build shipper relationships, and operate from the inside.
